Frame rot, your days are numbered

After 60 odd years facing all imaginable elements, it is no surprise that the steel sub-frame of morning breeze had rust and rot to it. What did surprise us was how relatively minor the extent of that rot was. The frame below the front window and behind the water heater needed a good amount of welding, but outside of those areas it was really pretty good. We cut out the bad sections and welded in new metal for them, but the areas that only had incipient rust were merely brushed off and given a good coat of POR-13.

What was far more disturbing than the rust is the fact that in some of the pictures it looks like my hair might be thinning. No problem though, we had some extra POR-13 so we painted it on my bald patch and now my hair looks good as new.
